Biography

Dr Melissa Hancock is a clinical haematologist at Icon Cancer Centre Toowoomba. In 2010 she completed a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland and subsequently commenced specialist haematology training at Gold Coast University Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She holds dual fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).

Dr Hancock is experienced in caring for patients with both malignant and non-malignant blood disorders with particular interests in myeloproliferative neoplasms, lymphoma, myeloma and thrombotic disorders. She is also experienced in the care of regional patients, having worked in Ipswich, Esk and Bundaberg hospitals during her medical training.
