Dr Gzell subsequently undertook specialist radiation oncology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital prior to becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 2011. She later completed a post-graduate neuro-oncology fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital with research and publications in the field of high-grade gliomas. Her current appointments include treasurer of the Stereotactic Interest Group of Australasia (SIGA), board member of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgical Society (ISRS) and senior lecturer at Macquarie University.

Prior to joining Icon, Dr Gzell worked as a neuro-oncology radiation oncologist primarily at St Vincent’s and Macquarie University Hospitals (2014-2022).
