Biography

Dr Kylie Jung is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Canberra. In 2012, Dr Jung completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSc) at the University of Melbourne. She subsequently undertook specialist radiation oncology training in Canberra and became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2020.

Dr Jung has strong interest in research and quality assurance to improve quality of radiation oncology care and patient survivorship through clinical trials and multi-disciplinary collaboration. She is an active member of Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) Breast and CNS Working Parties and researcher at Irradiation Immunity Interactive Laboratory at John Curtin School of Medical Research. She leads several clinical and pre-clinical trials and is a local co-primary investigator for TROG trial. She is part of various multidisciplinary teams in Canberra advocating for optimal patient outcomes and reference committees appraising up-to-date evidence.

In addition to her practice at Icon, Dr Jung is a clinical lecturer and examiner at the Australian National University (ANU) Medical School. She enjoys teaching and mentoring of medical students in this role.

Dr Jung can converse in English and Korean, and looks forward to supporting patients in a language they are familiar with. Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special clinical interest in breast cancer, brain and spinal (CNS) cancer and palliative radiation therapy.
