Dr Rahul Solanki is dedicated to providing holistic and patient-centred cancer care. He aims to empower his patients by sharing evidence-based information and actively involving them in decision-making every step of the way.


Biography

Dr Rahul Solanki is a dual trained specialist in medical oncology and nuclear medicine, providing consultation and treatment services at Icon Cancer Centre Adelaide (Kurralta Park) and Icon Cancer Centre Windsor Gardens. Dr Solanki undertook his advanced medical oncology and nuclear medicine training at Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lyell McEwin Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia. He was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for both medical oncology and nuclear medicine in 2022-23.

With a deep passion for enhancing quality cancer care, Dr Solanki is actively involved in clinical trials, local research and ongoing medical education. He regularly attends national and international conferences and continues to be involved in teaching medical students at the University of Adelaide. Dr Solanki is currently undertaking a research fellowship at Icon Cancer Centre under the leadership of Dr Craig Gedye and Dr Brian Stein.

He maintains affiliations with several national and international research institutions including the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) and Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM). Dr Solanki also holds a specialist appointment in nuclear medicine at Benson Radiology.

Dr Solanki speaks fluent English, Gujarati and Hindi, and looks forward to caring for patients and their loved ones in their preferred language. His clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies, with a special interest in lung cancer, head and neck cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, neuroendocrine tumours, genitourinary cancer, breast cancer and melanoma.
