Biography

Dr Sung Kai Chiu is dual-trained clinical and laboratory haematologist.  He completed his haematology training in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Fremantle Hospital and then underwent further training and research into haematological malignancies at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

He has recently returned to Perth to start his consultant practice (currently at SJOG Midland and Rockingham General Hospital).  His special clinical interest include myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, lymphoma, myeloma and haemostasis/thrombosis.

Dr Chiu’s main research interest involves identifying novel therapeutic targets for haematological malignancies.

Dr Sung Kai Chiu accepts referrals for malignant and non-malignant blood disorders, with a special clinical interest in:
