Biography

Dr Vladimir Andelkovic is a Queensland trained medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane. He completed specialist medical oncology training at Brisbane and Gold Coast tertiary oncology centres where he gained extensive experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and managed a wide range of cancers including breast cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers and sarcomas.

Dr Andelkovic has developed a special interest in treating bone and soft tissue tumours (sarcomas) and is a member of Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Team at Princess Alexandra Hospital and The Wesley Hospital. He is also an active member of Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association and a principal investigator in several clinical trials testing new treatments in sarcoma.

Dr Andelkovic maintains a strong interest in medical education, clinical trials and research in both his private practice and roles as senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and visiting clinical fellow at Queensland University of Technology. His other interests include liver cancer and breast cancer. He is currently the only medical oncologist who is a regular member of hepatocellular cancer multidisciplinary team at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
